Hardly, because the aligners are made of thin, transparent plastic and are almost invisible. That's why they're barely noticeable in meetings or on video calls and your smile stays professional – and for photos or special occasions, you can simply take them out for a moment.
For a good result, you wear the aligners 20 to 22 hours a day, including at night. You should only take them out to eat, to drink anything other than water and to clean them, because wearing them for less time can delay your treatment.
No, the aligners are smooth, have no sharp edges and are comfortable to wear. When you first wear them, you may feel slight pressure, which shows that the aligners are working, and after a few days you'll usually be well used to them.
