1. Treatment with our invisible aligners is only possible once the jaw has fully finished growing. This is usually the case from around 15 years of age.

Plasticine or modelling clay is a great toy for lots of children, but it has no place in modern orthodontic treatment. Impression kits, especially when patients use them on their own at home, are far too inaccurate and unreliable to set up a professional aligner treatment.
A dental progress check can't be carried out using a photo. After all, modern aligners move your teeth in all three dimensions, and on a normal two-dimensional photo it's impossible to diagnose the current status with sufficient precision.

The same packages apply to teenagers as to adults: SayCheeese easy costs €1,580 for one jaw or €1,980 for both jaws, SayCheeese sensitive €2,280 or €2,980. Instalment plans are interest-free for terms of up to 36 months; for terms of up to 60 months, interest of around 8% applies.
No, you don't need a referral, because SayCheeese isn't a service covered by statutory health insurance – you can simply book your appointment online. However, we recommend visiting your dentist together with your parents beforehand, because tooth decay or gum problems should be treated before the treatment starts.
Hardly: the aligners are transparent and almost invisible in everyday life – at school, during a presentation or in photos, they're practically unnoticeable. You wear them 20 to 22 hours a day and only take them out to eat, to drink (except water) and to brush your teeth.
Yes, the aligners are suitable for sport and fit in with training, fitness and leisure activities. For contact sports such as boxing, you take them out and wear a mouthguard instead; afterwards, put the aligners straight back in so that you reach your 20 to 22 hours of wear time a day.
Then it's still too early for our aligners: your jaw must have finished growing and all your permanent teeth must have erupted, which is usually the case from around the age of 15. For children and younger teenagers, we recommend an orthodontist; your dentist or our free consultation can clarify whether you're ready yet.
Only rarely: you take your aligners home with you at the handover and change them yourself; one or two check-ups during treatment are usually enough. At the end, you come in for a final check-up, and if you have any questions in between, you can book an appointment at any time.
